Mark Perkins is a Principal of Perkins & Zayed, The Estate and Trust Law Group. Asset Preservation Solutions, LLC and Perkins & Zayed are independent of each other with separate office locations. Mark concentrates his practice in Estate Planning, Insurance Planning, and Business Succession Planning. He has extensive experience as an estate planning counselor, and therefore uses sophisticated techniques. These techniques include living trusts, dynasty trusts, living wills, power of attorney documents, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, minor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, family limited partnerships, and family foundations.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Elmhurst College with a double major in Urban Studies and Business Administration. At Elmhurst College, he was on the Debate Team, the Student Senate, President of the fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, and played on the College Football Team. Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. During law school he was a member of the Student Senate and Moot Court Team.
Mark teaches and lectures on the topic of estate planning to lawyers, accountants, financial planners, and various consumer groups. Mark regularly produces articles regarding current estate planning concerns. He appeared as a guest speaker regarding estate planning on the “Money Talks” (AM 1530) radio program on several occasions. Mark is a member of the Illinois/Wisconsin Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is also a member of the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) and is a past Chair of both the DCBA Tax Committee and the DCBA Estate Planning Committee.
